Natalia Pawlus is a contemporary printmaker inspired by the values and strong contrast between black in and white paper. Natalia graduated from the University of Slaskye in 2008. She states: “My linocuts are not abstraction but rather an exploration of ink. I want to show the many different values hidden within it’s structure.” For her larger works, Natalia uses individual matrices for the mold, piecing them together on a paper for the finished product. When she’s not making art, Natalia teaches linocut workshops to children.
